A person who thinks Hijab is ejbari doesn't know Iranian history & cultur at all & needs to read more
Only an uniformed person thinks that Hijab was brougth by Islam to Iran.
A place to look at is Takhte Jamshid. Takhte Jamshid or Persopolis is where ancient Iranian culture is evident.
I have no quarel with the person who wants to use hijab or not to use it, that is not the point here, the point is your understanding of Iranian culture.
If you look at the map of Takhte Jamshid you will see that it was built with Bironi & Andaroni, that means the women quarters (andaroni) or
haram was not accessible by outsiders.
Boys up to the age of 11 before puberty stayed in the haram with their mothers & then were not allowed to
Another place to see for evidenc that its wasnt a customfor Iranian woman to show their faces is the Bible old testamont the Ester section.
Ester explains how queen Vashti refused to show her face when her husband Cyrus freed Babylon and king cyrus has to marry a jewish girl.
Hijab also was put in place in the Haram of the Sassanid kings to protect the young wives of the kings against the young princes that were kings sons from different wives.
The story of Salman Farsi is that.
Salman was a sassani prince that fell in love with one of the wives of the sassani king, but had to flee to Arabia when it was discovered that he had a relationship with one of the wives of the kings.
obviously a king who has 50 or 100 wives is not able to satisfy all of them, so these external relationships were common & Hijab was a way for the kings to protect his women. There is not a single place in Quran that you can show me that it says women need to put on Chador.
go ahead try.
Chadoor is an Iranian creation
Read Ahmad Kasravi's book about women and you will see what I mean.
Hijab is an Iranian creation not Islamic , it was used as a protective gear for women in travel.
both men and women covered their hair in Ancient Iran.
